Pres. Trump Indicates Second NK Summit Will Happen In Near Future

He wrote on Twitter that his meeting with Ri Yong Ho on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in NY was to discuss the summit and "next steps toward denuclearization of #NorthKorea".

Pompeo added that much work remains, but they will continue to move forward.

If President Trump continues to moderate some of the hostility with the North, the once unthinkable-peaceful denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula-will become possible. "The United States has great strength and patience, but if it is forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea".

"We're working diligently to make sure we get the conditions right so that we can accomplish as much as possible during the summit". He said any future summit could happen in October, but more likely after that.

It was a stark reversal from a year ago, when Mr. Trump made global headlines at the annual gathering of world leaders in NY by deriding Mr. Kim as "Rocket Man" and threatening to "totally destroy" North Korea after a string of provocative missile and weapons tests.

Pompeo made the announcement after meeting with North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly in NY.

While not as extensive as previous map changes to the battle royale game, there are still a few highlights tucked away in here. Fortnite is available now in early access for iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Indeed, the vague statement Trump procured from Kim in Singapore is far less concrete than past pledges North Korea has made (and broken), notably under President Bill Clinton.

"Many things are happening behind the scenes away from the media which nobody knows, but they are happening nevertheless and they are happening in a very positive way". "So I think you will have some very good news coming from North Korea in the coming months and years".

Bolton said the United States was seeking to ramp up pressure on Iran but not to overthrow the regime - an idea he supported before taking his job and reiterated recently by former NY mayor Rudy Giuliani, who is Trump's personal lawyer. "He wants to make a deal, I want to make a deal".

"If it takes two years, five years or five months", Trump said, suggesting that the timeline for North Korea to surrender its nuclear weapons was flexible.

"We must encourage North Korea to stay on the path that leads to permanent and solid peace", he said. It doesn't look like that any more. And Kim will play on Trump's expressed desire to bring United States troops home soon. The steps North Korea has to take is to dismantle its nuclear test site, dismantle its missile test site, dismantle its Yongbyon nuclear facilities, dismantle other facilities and dismantle nuclear weapons that have already been made. "We're not going to buy a pig in a poke. We're going to deliver on this commitment (to denuclearize) that Chairman Kim has made to the world".

Mr. Pompeo said the approach has borne results over the past year, with the administration coordinating global sanctions against Pyongyang while opening the way for direct diplomacy.
