Surgeon, woman accused of drugging and raping women

Three more people have stepped forward claiming to be victims of a former Bravo reality TV contestant and his girlfriend who were charged this week with drugging and sexually assaulting two women.

The Orange County district attorney on Tuesday announced charges against Dr. Grant Robicheaux and Cerissa Riley and said investigators believe there may be many more victims.

Authorities noted the couple traveled to festivals such as Burning Man in Black Rock Desert in Nevada, the Dirtybird Campout in central California and the Splash House in Palm Springs, California.

The couple allegedly targeted their victims at bars and restaurants - but may also have used dating apps such as Tinder and Bumble, Rackauckas said, leading investigators to stretch their inquiries across several states.

"Ladies, please be careful when you meet people on these kinds of apps". You don't know what's behind. what appears to be a ideal smile'.

The couple was arrested on September 12 at Robicheaux's home and each face multiple felony charges in California, including rape by use of drugs, oral sex using a controlled substance, assault with intent to commit a sexual offense and possession of controlled substances.

He said Riley and Robicheaux met one woman, 32, at a restaurant in Newport Beach in April 2016.

Robicheaux, 38, and Cerissa Laura Riley, 31, are charged with rape by use of drugs, oral copulation by anesthesia or controlled substance, assault with intent to commit sexual offense, and possession of a controlled substance for sale.

He could face up to 40 years in prison and Riley could face up to 30 years if convicted of all counts, according to the DA's office. Riley will face a sentencing enhancement for being knowingly vicariously armed with a firearm.

Boos bombard Vikings in home loss to Bills
The Bills will look to continue their dominant defensive play against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers next week. Allen hurdled Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr on a run for a first down, and took a solid hit as he completed the run.

Six more women may be victims of sexual assault by a prominent orthopedic surgeon who was featured in a TV reality dating show, and his girlfriend, authorities said Wednesday.

Defense attorneys have said Robicheaux and Riley deny all allegations of non-consensual sex.

Rackauckas said there was a possibility of new charges being filed but he would not predict whether the two, who are each free on $100,000 bail, might be rearrested. The alleged victim went to Newport Beach police the next day and a forensic exam confirmed multiple controlled substances in her system.

Women were at risk up until the arrest, Rackauckas said.

Robicheaux - who once appeared on the Bravo television show "Online Dating Rituals of the American Male" - and Riley are due to be arraigned on October 25.

"They didn't ask to have this happen to them", the district attorney said. "A woman purporting to be his girlfriend clearly played a significant role in disarming the victims, making them feel comfortable and safe". NewportCare Medical Group, where Robicheaux has worked as an orthopaedic surgeon, is "no longer with us", said the person answering the phone who declined to give their name.

In one instance, they allegedly supplied "multiple drugs to the victim" then raped her "while she was prevented from resisting".

The defendants created a false sense of security for victims because they are "clean cut and good looking", OCDA Tony Rackauckas explained in a press conference Tuesday.

"It appears [the victims] are highly intoxicated beyond the ability to consent or resist; they are barely responsive to the defendants" sexual advances'.
