Palace announces Meghan Markle's first solo event and its very Aussie connection

The two-part documentary series, set to air in the United Kingdom on September 25, "offers a unique insight into Her Majesty The Queen's role as a figure on the global stage and the baton she is passing to the younger members of the Royal Family as they continue to build the Commonwealth connection", according to ITV. "With the Duke and Duchess of Sussex about to embark on their first Commonwealth Tour to Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific exactly sixty-five years after the Queen's first Commonwealth Tour, this series could not be more timely".

Meghan Markle is reunited with the spectacular gown and veil she wore to walk down the aisle in a touching scene from a new documentary - four months after the royal wedding was watched by millions around the globe.

The Duchess of Sussex appears delighted as she sees her dress for the first time since she walked down the aisle with Prince Harry in May.

Harry is seen in the documentary joking with visitors that he panics when he stumbles upon the Queen. Are you a fan of the royal family?

"If you suddenly bump into her in the corridor", Harry jovially advises the assembled staff, "don't panic".

HBO has debuted a trailer for a new documentary titled Queen of the World, from director Matt Hill, which will be available (in the US) through HBO in just a few weeks.

As Meghan delicately handles the elaborate veil, viewers are finally given a closer look at the lace which was which was embroidered with flowers from each of the 53 Commonwealth nations.

We don't know about you, but we're totally here for Meghan's British accent.
