Apple iOS 12 with new tools now available

But that wasn't the only information mined from Apple's iOS 12.1 code.

According to the latest data compiled by analytics firm Mixpanel, iOS 12 is installed on 12.27 percent of Apple devices. iOS 11's share, as a result, has fallen from 89.96 percent on Monday to 79.86 percent on Thursday.

In other words, Apple has made sure that the iOS 12 release isn't marred by the same amount of bugs as iOS 11. This was originally supposed to be in iOS 12, but was stripped out during the beta process.

As per Apple's release notes (via 9to5 Mac), the iOS 12.1 beta SDK comes bundled with Xcode 10.1, which is available for download from the Apple Developer Program download page.

Earlier this week, Apple released iOS 12, watchOS 5, and tvOS 12, so naturally, the next day was when we got the first betas for the upcoming "point one" updates.

The Huawei Freebuds 2 Pro will have an undeniable AirPod vibe, but the alleged charging system seems rad. Huawei's Mate 20 will launch next month on 16 October in London; that much is already well known .

The clues hidden in the beta software suggest it could be planning another event later this year when it will unveil new iPads and laptop computers. Dual-SIM support for iPhone XS Max and iPhone XS will also be released.

Further, developer Steve Troughton-Smith noted on Twitter that iOS 12.1 appears to include support for Face ID in landscape orientation. Instead, this will only be available for 2018 iPad Pros.

Apple is expected to hold an event in October, where it will unveil the new iPad Pros that are rumoured to have edge-to-edge displays with a TrueDepth camera system for Face ID.

As for what's coming, nothing's official yet, but there have been plenty of rumors describing a new iPad Pro with Face ID and no home button (check out the renders below).
