Trouble In Pittsburgh? Antonio Brown Skipped Steelers’ Team Meetings Monday

Of course, Brown wasn't the only notable absentee from Monday's meetings: Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell continues to hold out amid a contract dispute and was spotted jet-skiing in Miami on Monday.

Brown's absence from the facilities was originally reported by Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette before being confirmed by Tomlin on Tuesday. Brown appeared incensed after Sunday's 42-37 loss to the Chiefs.

Brown's absence on Monday came on the same day that he had tweeted, "Trade me let's find out", in response to a critic who suggested Ben Roethlisberger is the reason why AB's numbers are so high.

Every player, however, has not regularly forced the Steelers to either reprimand him - Brown drew a strong rebuke from Tomlin after livestreaming a locker room celebration following a playoff victory over Kansas City in 2017 - or issue an apology, as the club did last week when Brown threatened an ESPN reporter on Twitter for the way he was portrayed in a story.

"He was not. I'm looking forward to visiting with him today and discussing that and some other things". "I'll leave that between he and I", Tomlin said, per Bouchette.

Things aren't going well for the Pittsburgh Steelers right now.

FEMA to test 'Presidential Alert' system
Here's what the text will look like when it comes across your phone. "THIS IS A TEST of the National Emergency Alert System ". Hamilton County tests emergency alerts once a month on the first Wednesday to coincide with Sequoyah Nuclear Plant testing.

So, even with Tomlin's answers to the media, there are more questions than answers. I will say this: It's important that we understand our position, the light that shines on us, and the responsibility that comes with it.

As our John Breech noted on Monday, that was not Brown's only emotional display during the game.

He wasn't able to on Monday because Brown did not show up for work. I'll address that and address that very directly with him, but I'll leave that between he and I.

"I understand sometimes you got some negativity, you know, we lost a football game", Tomlin said. There is frustration associated with not playing well and not winning. That's player relations. I'm not getting into what happens in that gray atmosphere out there among people where there is very little accountability and things of that nature. I won't utilize this forum to address such things. I think that this forum is a very professional one.

Asked if he's exhausted of Brown being the same player he's asked about repeatedly regarding social media issues, Tomlin bristled, then pointed to his team's 0-1-1 record heading into a Monday Night Football matchup with the 2-0 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That's generally the approach we take in non-football things, such as social media, decorum, etc., and so hopefully this will be the last time I'll be discussing things such as that in this setting.
