Rachel Brosnahan encourages people to vote during Emmys speech

Claire Foy beat presumed front runner Elisabeth Moss, star of The Handmaid's Tale, to win for her quiet but formidable portrayal of Queen Elizabeth in Netflix drama The Crown.

Matthew Rhys took his first best drama actor Emmy for playing a conflicted Russian spy in the final season of the FX Cold War series "The Americans".

Mrs Maisel is also a front-runner for best comedy series, which will be presented at the end of the three-hour awards show.

"The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" has won four awards in total, including supporting actress for Alex Borstein and lead actress for Rachel Brosnahan, in addition to Sherman-Palladino's wins.

Well, TV's biggest night of the year has arrived and as expected, it definitely did not disappoint.

Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series goes to Henry Winkler, for his role in Barry.

The manager of a local vehicle dealership said he was anxious that some of its inventory could be damaged as a result of the fire. Nigro said the fire was confined to the second level of the parking garage and did not extend to stores at the mall.


Brosnahan's starring role in the Amazon comedy Mrs. Maisel had already earned the actress a Golden Globe and Critics' Choice Television Award.

In another win for Netflix, Regina King received the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie award for Seven Seconds.

"Skip Brittenham said to me a long time ago, 'If you stay at the table long enough, the chips come to you, ' and tonight I got to clear the table".

"I'll be thanking you for the rest of my life for trusting me with your Midge", she said, referencing her character.

The Emmys are back, with Game of Thrones, Westworld and The Handmaid's Tale leading the nominations ahead of the ceremony in Los Angeles today.
