Another win Gonzo: Browns lose to Saints, 21-18

The Saints offense rallied back off the efforts of the defense, only for Browns quarterback Tyrod Taylor to make the throw of his life on fourth down and tie the game. Then kicker Zane Gonzalez missed the extra point.

Gonzalez botched the extra-point attempt, then missed a game-tying field-goal try as time expired.

The Browns ended their losing streak by tying the Pittsburgh Steelers 21-21 in last week's season opener, but they still haven't won since December 24, 2016. McCollum lets us all follow along as he watches his beloved Browns flail about on the football field, live-tweeting most games during the National Basketball Association offseason.

The Cleveland Browns lost to the New Orleans Saints, 21-18, in another Brownsy loss. Lutz booted the game-winning 44-yard field goal with 21 seconds remaining to provide the 21-18 final score. He had been ruled out for their Week 2 matchup against the New Orleans Saints due to a hamstring injury. Gonzalez hit a knuckleball wide left on the PAT keeping it a 12-3 Browns lead. As Kindred tackled receiver Ted Ginn Jr., Mitchell knocked the ball loose and recovered the fumble at the Saints' 46 with 10:39 left in the second quarter.

The Saints had the Browns outgained at halftime by 134 yards to 106.

Chiefs’ Mahomes named AFC Offensive Player of the Week
The game was lost when: You can say it was over when the Chiefs raced out to a 21-0 lead just 13 minutes into the game. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is off to one of the most sensational starts in National Football League history.

The first half was a defensive slugfest.

Running back Mike Gillislee, who the Saints picked up from New England just before the season, led New Orleans in rushing with just 13 yards on four carries as the Saints struggled on offense until very late. It also ended a drive that started thanks to a 47-yard kickoff return out to the 40 by third-string quarterback Taysom Hill.

Taylor went 22-of-30 passing for 246 yards and a touchdown with an interception for a rating of 94.6. "But let's not kid ourselves".

"We've got a lot to do to improve", Payton said.
