Seahawks, Mychal Kendricks close to signing deal

Seattle plans to sign linebacker Mychal Kendricks to a one-year deal, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that Kendricks visited with Seattle on Thursday.

Kendricks signed a one-year contract with the Cleveland Browns in June after winning a Super Bowl title last season with the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Seattle Seahawks are expected to sign veteran linebacker Mychal Kendricks, according to multiple reports Thursday night.

Kendricks first made headlines in late August when charges of insider trading were brought against the six-year National Football League veteran. And while that's notable in and of itself, what's even more notable is why he is available in the first place - he was released by the Cleveland Browns after he was charged with insider trading, something he pled guilty to last week.
