Simon & Schuster Has Printed 1 Million Copies of Bob Woodward's 'Fear'

She declined to say whether the White House was actively hunting for the culprit, described as a senior administration official, whose identity is known to the New York Times. "It gives a date, it gives a time, who participates, most often the president himself and what he says", Woodward said. "We're told the book is based on hundreds of hours of interviews, most of which were taped with the consent of the source".

Trump doesn't realize "that the national security for the country comes from having trade relations and having security agreements, like North Atlantic Treaty Organisation and secret intelligence partnerships", Woodward added, calling it one of the most shocking revelations in the book.

Chris Christie on Tuesday accused Bob Woodward of acting as former White House adviser Steve Bannon's "stenographer", and said Woodward hadn't performed "rudimentary journalistic fact checking".

On the eve of its release, the president took to Twitter with a preemptive round of attacks, denouncing as fiction Woodward's reconstruction of scenes in which frustrated aides scramble to contain the mercurial president's reckless impulses.

Woodward said the book reveals shocking details about the inner-workings of Donald Trump's administration, but the most shocking parts are centered around the president's willingness to break with long-standing policy traditions. Cohn allegedly called Trump's intelligence level that of an "inbred tanning bed".

"(Defense Secretary) James Mattis says we're doing this to prevent World War III", Woodward added.

Bradley beats Rose in playoff to win BMW title
On a course where he once won the AT&T National , Rose shot a 3-under 67 on Monday to get into a playoff with Keegan Bradley . Rose ascended to the No. 1 ranking in the Official World Golf Rankings and became just the 22nd golfer in history to do so.

The Trump administration has been on an offensive in recent weeks, seeking to discredit Woodward and the contents of his book.

"We are 55 days before a midterm election, and the White House is completely tanking the local candidates' messages, while Donald Trump goes on the usual partisan jihad", Messina argued. Last night's episode wasn't the first time The Late Show with Stephen Colbert covered it, but it was the first night that Woodward actually stopped by to talk about Fear.

Asked whether he was shocked by what he uncovered in his book, Woodward said: "I've never seen an instance when the president is so detached from the reality of what's going on".

Kelly is quoted calling Trump "an idiot", and Mattis is quoted saying Trump has the understanding of "a fifth- or sixth-grader".

Though the media has breathlessly praised Woodward's new book, there are credibility issues with the journalist at hand. "I don't even know why any of us are here".

"I think there are people in there that he can trust, it's just - it's a much smaller group than I would like it to be", Trump Jr., 40, said on ABC's "Good Morning America."
