Chicago Bears: The good, bad and ugly from Packers game

After the Bears offered one of those three and outs following the fumble, Mack left nothing to doubt intercepting Kizer thanks to a huge rush from Roy Robertson-Harris and taking it to the end zone for a 17-0 lead.

"You prepare all offseason for the first game of the season, so I wanted to come back and make an impact", Mack said. After giving up a touchdown on the opening drive, the Packers held Chicago's offense to just two field goals the rest of the way.

The injury happened in the second quarter when Rodgers stayed down after a sack. Then Rodgers trotted back on the field.

Rodgers connected with receiver Randall Cobb for a catch-and-run through the secondary for a 75-yard touchdown and the go-ahead score with 2:13 left in the game.

A Chicago defense featuring newly acquired star linebacker Khalil Mack dominated until the third quarter.

B | Jordan Howard (15 carries, 82 yards) almost finished off the Packers late in the fourth quarter, breaking off 16- and 11-yard runs.

The Packers were down 20-0 at halftime and without injured star quarterback Aaron Rodgers for part of the game before a somewhat hobbled Rodgers rallied his team past the Bears.

The Packers posted the second-largest comeback in franchise history at Lambeau Field, behind only a rally from 21 points down to beat New Orleans on September 17, 1989.

So the question is why were the Packers unable to move the ball with such ease before they started to play that way?

"You figure that into Green Bay's game", Hicks said.

With the Lambeau Field crowd back in the game, Trubisky and the Bears were able to convert three third downs and got down to the Packers' 14-yard line before having to settle for another Parkey field goal to make it 26 20.

There's little the three-time Pro-Bowl linebacker didn't do.

"It was painful", Rodgers told Packers.com, and he'll undergo more tests on Monday. In his first play in a Bears uniform, Mack muscled Packers right tackle Bryan Bulaga back, forcing quarterback Aaron Rodgers to hurry and throw an incomplete pass.

McCarthy said he was prepared to go with Kizer to start the second half until getting the word from the team doctor in the tunnel.

The Cleveland Browns were one blocked field goal away from earning their first National Football League win in 625 days as they held the Pittsburgh Steelers to a scrappy 21-21 tie in a wet and windy Ohio.

"You know we talked about finishing and we didn't do that", Nagy said. On a fourth down on the final drive, the Packers defense made the key stop to win the game as Mitchell Trubisky threw an incompletion, but Matthews hit Trubisky late for a roughing the passer penalty.
