Black Ops 4’s Blackout Battle Royale Gets Trailer Ahead of Beta Launch

Activision and Treyarch have released a brand new gameplay trailer for Blackout, Call of Duty: Black Op 4's all-new Battle Royale mode that delivers signature Call of Duty gameplay immersed in classic environments and characters from the Black Ops universe. Specialist abilities, weapons, locations, vehicles, and even a couple cameos from some returning players all get the spotlight. This goes well beyond the tiny teaser we saw a month ago, and gives us a much better idea of the rhythm and style of the mode. And as you can see, there's a lot to do - and a whole bunch of chaos to cause. You can check out the Blackout trailer below. We also get a glimpse of what Nuketown Island is all about, and it looks to be just as fun as promised. Drop into the action in a wing suit, and take command of land, sea and air vehicles in this last-player-standing experience celebrating the Black Ops series in an unprecedented way, all on the biggest map in Call of Duty franchise history. The base Xbox One and PS4, alongside older or lower-end PCs may struggle to keep up the pace, although 60 frames per second will technically be "achievable", since the frame rate remains unlocked. After that, it'll run through September 17. But based on the early buzz, they're going to need the strongest that they can find.

For those that don't know, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's Blackout Beta is set to be released on PlayStation 4 on September 10, 2018, with Xbox One and PC players getting their hands on it four days later, on September 14, 2018.
