Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz not yet cleared for contact

Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz not yet cleared for contact

Pederson wasn't happy with a report from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport that Nick Foles would start at quarterback in Week 1.

"Little bit, yeah. Little bit,".

"No, I'm not going to talk about any play-time decision or any starter decisions", he said.

"'I'm trying to win a football game, and I don't want to put my game plan out there for teams to see it and read it and teams can scheme, and it doesn't make a lot of sense", Pederson said. In a conference call with reporters, Quinn began his remarks by saying, "I understand you guys have some quarterback questions". They also really don't like answering questions about their quarterbacks. It's likely that he won't miss more than just a couple of games, if even that many, so the Eagles just need Foles to get them through the start of the season. In fact, Corey Clement is the ideal example of just how important this time of year can be for players battling to make roster spots since he went from being an undrafted free agent making the team to Super Bowl champion. The team is apparently in no rush to get back on the field and justifiably so if he still hasn't been cleared for contact.

Mike Pence's remarks make McCain family smile
Biden said that the late senator "could not stand the abuse of power wherever he saw it, in whatever form, in whatever country". Biden said that McCain fought for civility between politicians on both sides of the aisle, even in times of disagreement.

The Philadelphia Eagles are set for their highly anticipated Week 1 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons this coming Thursday.

Though Wentz has participated in full-team drills, he has yet to be cleared for contact. But everyone knows that wouldn't be prudent.

Thus Philadelphia might strongly prefer to give Wentz the start if that were possible, but while reports have been very positive about his mobility, he doesn't appear to be quite ready yet.

Pederson: You saw the reports.
