Sony launches Xperia XZ3 phone fitted with same screen as a television

We saw an unofficial peek at the Sony Xperia XZ3 not too long ago, and now the company has gone ahead and made the new flagship smartphone officially official. The newest is called the Xperia XZ3 and it's mostly just a slightly improved Xperia XZ2 without any meaningful upgrades outside of its display and battery. On the front is the 6-inch OLED display with Quad HD+ (2880 x 1440 pixels) resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio, and HDR playback support. The Xperia XZ3 comes with the same design language as the XZ2. The Xperia XZ3 also comes with Sony's Dynamic Vibration system, support for hi-resolution audio and stereo speakers with S-Force surround sound.

'This lets you enjoy high quality content just as the creators intended, for a truly immersive entertainment experience in the palm of your hand'. There's a 13-megapixel 1/ 3.06-inch Exmor RS sensor with a 23mm wide angle lens that incorporates AI to offer bokeh and beauty effects.

Many leaks were claiming that the Xperia XZ3 will ship with 6GB of RAM, but that is not the case, at least for the global version of the device that Sony introduced today.

A spokesman for Tesla declined to comment on short-sellers, who are often dubbed "haters" by Musk's supporters on Twitter. Musk later issued a statement that Tesla would remain a publicly traded company.

Said to be one of the first device to come pre-installed with Android 9 Pie, the Sony Xperia XZ3 will be rolled out into the market starting from end of September onwards.

Sony also used the same rear camera, so you are looking at a 19-megapixel f/2.0, 1.22µm Motion Eye camera, with PDAF and laser AF, as well as few new BIONZ processing algorithm improvements.

The Xperia XZ3 features an elongated body with reduced top and bottom bezels. The Xperia XZ3 is backed by a 3300mAh non-removable battery and supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and Wireless charging. The pricing of the Xperia XZ3 hasn't been revealed, which would determine whether choosing OLED works in Sony's favour. The device comes with a microSD card slot to expand the memory further up to 512GB. We're not sure if the device supports facial scanning, as Sony did not refer to it in any way, but it probably does, and it uses the device's front-facing camera for that goal. Connectivity options include A-GNSS (GPS + GLONASS), Wi-Fi Miracast, Bluetooth v5, Google Cast, NFC, and USB Type-C port. Sony Xperia XZ3 comes in four colour options of black, white silver, forest green and bordeaux red.
