Danny Boyle exits as director of 'Bond 25'

Danny Boyle has dropped out of directing the next Bond film due to "creative differences". Like Mendes, Craig was also reluctant to return to the franchise, for which he's starred in four films; Bond 25 is to be his fifth, and likely his last.

With Boyle leaving the project, who do you think would be the next best director to take over Bond 25?

Production on the film, the 25th installment in the franchise's history, was set to begin in December, with a release date scheduled for October 25th, 2019 in the United Kingdom and November 8th, 2019 worldwide.

When Boyle's involvement was announced, EON Productions said production on the new film would begin in December at Pinewood Studios, Buckinghamshire. The news came from EON Productions' Michael G. Wilson, Barbara Broccoli, and star Daniel Craig.

"Wilson, Barbara Broccoli and Daniel Craig today announced that due to creative differences Danny Boyle has chose to no longer direct Bond 25", the official James Bond Twitter account tweeted.

It is not yet known if Boyle's exit will impact the release schedule.

Purvis and Wade's script was written prior to Boyle and Hodges coming on board. It is not clear if he is still involved.

No details about the differences have been revealed and it is unclear who will be taking over from Boyle.

Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle (28 Days, Later, Sunshine) will no longer be putting his spin on Ian Fleming's espionage universe.
