I've never been happier with Pogba, says Mourinho

In Antonio Valencia's absence Mourinho made Pogba Manchester United's captain against Leicester, and despite supporters hoping for this to be a more permanent decision, the 55-year-old made clear that this wouldn't be the case.

Pogba continues to be an issue for Mourinho following the 25-year-old's comments after that 2-1 win over the Foxes when he claimed he would be fined for "saying certain things".

Jose Mourinho says he has never been happier with Paul Pogba as the Manchester United manager dismissed talk that tensions had come to a head this week.

Pogba has often struggled to perform for United at the level he did in Turin, with many commenters noting a lack of genuine quality accompanying him in midfield.

Hughton said: "I think that's what happens when you are a top, top manager".

"You have to ask Paul", said Mourinho. It makes it easier for him to create a combative side who will want to "prove the critics wrong".

Paul Pogba will receive a bonus of around £3.4million he remains at Manchester United until the end of the month, according to the Metro. I'm already there, so I just have to get ready to settle myself as soon as possible, get to know all of my team-mates and all of the situations.

The focus was to be on the work of U.S. military veterans through the ages, starting with the American Revolutionary War. The parade was scheduled for the day before the 100th anniversary of the armistice that ended the First World War.

Asked about the comment, Mourinho said: 'I don't care.

However, despite Mourinho's positive words about Pogba, the United boss alluded to the importance of continuity in the first team and therefore confirmed that Valencia would resume his role as captain once he recovered from injury.

"When Antonio comes back he will be the captain", Mourinho told a news conference on Friday. We know he always does a job for the team - right back, left back, starting player, on the bench, he always does it.

"He's very polite, he's very educated, he never had a fight with me". I want him to play for the team, which he's doing, and, I repeat, I couldn't be happier than what I am.

"He's working well, he's playing well, he does it for the fans and the team, and that's what I want". "Matic and Valencia, they are training with the team since Thursday, fully fit but not yet to play or even to be selected".

'For me, it's good news that Matteo is staying.
