Cardiff City v Newcastle - Preview and possible lineups

One team, that will definitely be ruing a missed opportunity to snatch at least a point in its opening Premier League game of the season, is Newcastle United.

The club's next four games will see them take on Cardiff City, Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal, in arguably one of their most hard stretches of the season when you include the Spurs game too.

Meanwhile, summer recruits Salomon Rondon and Yoshinori Muto came off the bench in the narrow defeat to Tottenham on opening day and the pair will start as substitutes again for Newcastle United again with Joselu and Ayoze Pérez leading the attack.

What's more, if the trial is deemed a success, the station will be made a permanent fixture.

Cardiff City will be playing at home for the first time since returning to English football top-flight.

"With so many people trying to get to one area of the city in such a confined time period, the traffic disruption is huge".

Could the Italy bridge disaster happen here?
Since getting his job two months ago, Toninelli said he has asked for updates on the state of all bridges and viaducts in Italy. Rescue crews worked through the night cutting and sifting through tons of concrete and steel in search of survivors and victims.

Last season's promotion was also built on home form, 52 of the 90 points won in Cardiff.

But Benitez, who takes his side to face newly-promoted Cardiff in Saturday's lunchtime kick-off, wants to keep his squad intact moving forward.

United's manager had prepared his team for a physical game, and his players more than matched Cardiff, physically, in the first half.

Cardiff City boss Neil Warnock has questioned the criticism which has been directed at Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley.

Asked about Newcastle's lack of strength, Warnock said in a press conference: "I think that's a bit of hot air". Warnock has always insisted his side will be the first team everyone expects to beat, but he has not added too much Premier League experience to rectify that. Five years ago, the Bluebirds won the 2012-2013 Championship and promptly finished dead last in the following year's Premier League.

The Toffees played for an hour with 10 men at Wolves last Saturday and still came away with a 2-2 draw thanks to a brace from £35 million man Richarlison, who could be fit to play despite limping off at Molineux.
