Eden Hazard On Bench - Chelsea Team vs Huddersfield Confirmed

Chelsea beat Huddersfield Town 3-0 to give Maurizio Sarri a winning start as manager of the Blues. France's World Cup victor scuffed a volley into the ground and it took a deflection, before looping into the corner.

The introduction of Eden Hazard with 15 minutes to play allowed Chelsea to regain control of the ball, especially in the final third, and it was his driving run and pass that set up the onrushing Pedro to wrap up the three points with a chipped finish.

Jorginho then whispered something to Hazard that caused the Belgian to burst out laughing.

Jorginho's arrival saw N'Golo Kante move into a slightly more advanced role, and while he adapted characteristically well, popping up at the back post to volley home the opener in the 34th minute, Chelsea struggled to play through midfield.

The France midfielder was typically dominant with his usual duties, but surprisingly clinical with an extremely rare goal for the Blues in the first half.

Sarri's side pushed Juventus hard for the Serie A title last term but ultimately fell short as the Bianconeri won a seventh straight league title, but Chelsea were impressed enough to appoint the 59-year-old as the successor to fellow Italian coach Antonio Conte for the 2018-19 season.

Chelsea fans will be greeted with a first glimpse of Kepa Arrizabalaga in goal, with Maurizio Sarri handing the most expensive goalkeeper in the world a start against Huddersfield.

Sarri signed Italy global in a Jorginho £57 deal from Napoli to improve Chelsea FC's midfield ahead of the 2018-19 campaign. The return of the industrious Kante no doubt helped him focus on the areas he excels in. On the second-half performance alone, Chelsea will be a lot of fun to watch this season.

"The ref needs to explain that to us because I don't understand why (it was not retaken)". Jorginho coolly converted the penalty.

"We had a very good first half, but we know that Chelsea, when you face a team like this, they are very clinical", Mounie said.

Last season he was captain a few times", Mourinho told reporters ahead of tonight's clash (via the Mirror )". However, the second goal of the game would eventually come for the hosts late on, via an unlikely source.
