Charlie Nicholas makes Man United prediction about Jose Mourinho

Jose Mourinho has named Paul Pogba as Manchester United captain in what appears to be an attempt to bury the hatchet with the player.

Showing few signs of rust despite only returning to training this week, the World Cup victor, wearing the captain's armband, impressed in possession and without it, leading by example and keeping his cool from the spot.

Former United captain and Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville admitted Pogba's unusual run-up had him anxious.

"I had only two options, Scott (McTominay) or Paul, but if I play Scott I play two kids and a new player, so I asked Paul and he put himself available for the team and he was very, very good for us".

"I think Mr [Richard] Scudamore must be happy because it's a good way to start the Premier League". It's the last time I speak about it.

"We have big coaching staffs and I think we are more the head coach than the manager. But he just lifts it over [Leicester goalkeeper] Kasper Schmeichel and when you do that in the upper part of the net keepers never get them".

Reports say Wake Forest assistant basketball coach arrested following fatal altercation
Sandor Szabo, 35, died on Tuesday after being taken off life support , his family told the New York Daily News . He was fun to be with, interesting, and always interested. "We're going to say one thing and that's all".

Leicester came close to an equalizer though when substitute Jamie Vardy robbed Shaw and found Demarai Gray whose flick forced another good save out of De Gea. I need more changes but I couldn't. "I have worked really hard over the preseason and I had a lot of time to reflect, and work on what I needed to", Shaw told Sky.

The wing backs were pressing forward, the midfielders worked well in tandem, and Leicester were unable to cope with the home side's fluid play at first.

Let us know your thoughts in the comments. Paul [Pogba] was fantastic - his contribution was unbelievable, but the fuel was disappearing every minute, so we were in trouble and we needed [Scott] McTominay and [Marouane] Fellaini to give me that balance in midfield.

"I am [also] very pleased for Luke", Mourinho said.

Paul Pogba pledged to continue giving his best for fans, team-mates and "the people that trust me" in the wake of renewed speculation about his Manchester United future.

Leicester looked startled by United's early intensity but began to fell their way into the match as debutant James Maddison impressed and their wide men made in-roads.
