Chelsea prepare fresh bid for Wilfried Zaha

Palace had offered the Ivorian worldwide a new £125,000-a-week deal in a desperate attempt to keep hold of their Player of the Year, but it seems the bright lights of Stamford Bridge are too appealing for the 25-year-old.

Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha could hand in a transfer request in order to force a move to Chelsea, according to the Daily Mirror.

Zaha informed the club he wants to leave, but Palace have replied only a massive offer will convince them to sell.

Zaha wants to remain in London and sees Chelsea as the ideal club to continue his resurgence.

Zaha scored nine goals last season despite missing five weeks of the campaign with an injury.

Zaha has been linked with a move to Chelsea but Palace are unwilling to let their star man goes.

Zaha returned to Palace in February 2015 after returning on loan from United and has shown why the Old Trafford side wanted to bring him in when he was 20.

A host of clubs are believed to be interested in Zaha, but with his big-money move to Manchester United having fallen flat earlier in his career, he is thought to be reluctant to move up North once again. Of course, he is, he's a top-class player and I'm sure there are many clubs, not only in England but in the rest of the world, who would like to have him.

Jorginho and Rob Green are the Blues' only signings so far, with Sarri keen to splash the cash before the transfer window shuts on August 9.

The story is suggesting that Spurs are not willing to pay the £75m price tag for the pacey winger which leaves Chelsea with a clear pathway to sign one of the most talked about players of this window.

We can't say definitively that that's the motivation behind this killing, but there's nothing else that would explain it". Police said Pappas also put together an extensive intelligence file on the doctor, which investigators found at his home.
