Arsenal To Offer Alex Iwobi A New Long-Term Deal

Arsenal is reportedly prepared to sell Nigeria International Alex Iwobi this summer for £22m.

The 22-year-old struggled to develop consistency under Arsene Wenger throughout the course of last season but will be hoping to nail down a place in Emery's starting line-up.

Nonetheless, reports in Italy state that the Serie A side are considering a €25 m offer for Iwobi, along with his Arsenal teammate, Lucas Perez.

Lazio are looking for a replacement for Felipe Anderson who recently linked up with English Premier League club, West Ham United and see Iwobi as the ideal player to fill the void.

Iwobi's message came after Arsenal's new boss, Unai Emery led the team in an 8-0 win over Boreham Wood, but will this week Thursday and Saturday face bigger tests against Atletico Madrid and PSG in the 2018 International Champions Cup.

The midfielder has less than two years on his current contract with the Gunners.

It has been reported that Iwobi, who can operate as a winger or as a forward, is on the verge of putting pen to paper on a new deal and has agreed terms on an improved contract with Arsenal.

According to a report on the club's official website, Iwobi will be joined for the trip by Germany playmaker Mesut Ozil, and Egypt worldwide Mohamed Elneny who are returning from World Cup duty in Russian Federation.
