Cousins says he spoke with Kobe Bryant about rehabbing Achilles rupture

Showtime Sports followed Cousins during his free agency journey and recovery for a docu-series called The Resurgence.

In the video, Cousins revealed that he reached out to Draymond Green, Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry to discuss the move.

DeMarcus Cousins had never suffered a major injury throughout his eight-year National Basketball Association career, but that all changed January 26. I'd been up for two days straight. The network has released an exclusive clip from the forthcoming doc that shows a little more insight into what unfolded the 48 hours prior to Boogie signing his polarizing new deal.

Cousins, as well as Warriors general manager Bob Meyers, addressed a wide variety of topics including the route that landed Cousins in Oakland as well as updates on his achilles injury that kept him out of last year's post season. "They are a well-established team and they could have easily been like, 'No, we don't need him.' But they were excited like a team that's never accomplished anything".

Woods is the closest he's been to the lead in a major championship since he was two back at Muirfield in 2013. "I'm not surprised. Woods, who shot 66 on Saturday, is paired with Molinari, two groups behind the final twosome of Spieth and Xander Schauffele .

DeMarcus Cousins is joining the Golden State Warriors, which is a team full of talent and outward personalities. "And then there were some that were just flat out, like, 'We can't take that risk'". "I don't give a fuck".

"There's some motherf-- out there that's probably ripping their hair out right now, and I love it". "Yeah, I could have probably got a contract - a decent contract - from a bad team". This was my nuclear bomb. "But I take it as a test, just another obstacle to overcome, I just use that as fuel to get to the next step". I'm not gonna put myself in an already bad situation to try and prove my value or worth as a player in a situation that's not looking to win.

This is an odd couple if I've ever seen one, and now they are teammates on one of the greatest teams ever assembled. "We both know the truth and I'll leave it at that". "Its tough, no lie, but I know what I'm capable of and I look forward to getting back on the floor". I've been through so much adversity, if I sat there and dwelled on those moments, where the f-- would I be right now?

The soon-to-be 28-year old center was in line to sign a five-year $150 million contract extension with the New Orleans Pelicans, but the deal never materialized. "He was like, "Cous, I'm pretty sure me and you are going to fight.' I'm like, 'Draymond, Come on".
