Trump talks tougher, now says he warned Putin on meddling

For anyone who follows Donald Trump on Twitter, little of what he said in his Helsinki press conference was new.

"I accept our intelligence community's conclusion that Russia's meddling in the 2016 election took place", he said, reading from prepared remarks, before adding: "Could be other people also".

U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), who took the president at his word Tuesday, said yesterday there was no question that Russian Federation continues efforts to interfere with U.S. elections systems - saying it was a "guarantee".

Clearly, the internet isn't buying it.

There is even more confusion about what Donald Trump believes, or does not believe, about Russian interference in the 2016 United States presidential election. I will say this. "We got along well which truly bothered many haters who wanted to see a boxing match". "It is why I believe we are at a critical point", Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats said Friday during an event at the Hudson Institute in Washington.

Putin had both criticism and praise for Trump in a broad speech about Russian foreign policy.

He restated the U.S. intelligence assessment about Russian meddling and "their ongoing, pervasive efforts to undermine our democracy".

Asked by a journalist before a morning Cabinet meeting whether Russian Federation was still targeting the United States, Trump looked at the reporter, shook his head and said, "No". "I have President Putin".

"Well, I would, because he's in charge of the country", Trump said when asked if he holds him responsible for the interference.

Dhawan was run out for 44 by a brilliant piece of fielding from Ben Stokes and thereafter India lost wickets at regular intervals. Root had scores of three, 113 not out and 100 not out, which earned him 34 points and have now put him 93 points behind Kohli.

"Some people HATE the fact that I got along well with President Putin of Russian Federation".

"And he shouldn't be happy about it because there's never been a president as tough on Russian Federation as I have been".

During a contentious press briefing on Wednesday, NBC's Hallie Jackson pushed back on President Donald Trump's repeated reversals over Russian Federation.

But White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said hours later that she had talked with the president and he had instead been saying "no" to taking further questions from reporters.

"So many people at the higher ends of intelligence loved my press conference performance in Helsinki", Trump tweeted.

Mr Trump added that he was "very strong on the fact that we can't have meddling" in his conversation with Russia's leader. At the time, Trump said he was doing so because he was under audit by the Internal Revenue Service. "I have no confidence in a guy like Brennan - I think he's a total low-life".

Earlier this week, Trump held a historic summit with the Russian President.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell issued strong words of support for North Atlantic Treaty Organisation allies that Trump had criticised during an alliance summit days before his meeting with Putin.

Dori could not believe the stumbling on the president's part, calling it "beyond credulity" that Trump's PR experts could not have come up with anything better than "ridiculously trying to flip-flop" on the previous day's comments.
