Will Umar Sadiq deal be completed before Europa League tie?

The powerful six foot three striker comes in for the full season of 2018/19 and he is Steven Gerrard's ninth capture of the summer so far.

RANGERS are set to clinch a loan deal for Roma striker Umar Sadiq before their Europa League first qualifying round clash with FK Shkupi.

The loan move is subject to worldwide clearance.

The 21-year-old scored two Serie A goals for the Giallorossi in the 2015-16 season, before loan spells at Bologna and Torino.

He told Rangers TV: "It was not easy but when my agent said Gerrard is the head coach, I said okay no problem and was happy to come in".

Coulibaly becomes the eighth signing for the Gers under new boss Steven Gerrard, and will add another midfielder to his squad.

In-fact, 72% of England's goals have come from set-pieces. "I'm excited to see if Croatian fans are as excited as we are". Croatia opened at 60-1 World Cup odds to win the entire tournament; entering the semis, it was still the underdog at 4-1.

"I sat the young lads down on day one and told them they would come over to Spain and it was down to them to mix it with the senior players and let them know you're here to challenge them", he said.

Mali global Coulibaly, who has been capped 10 times, admits the lure of playing for Gerrard was too good to turn down.

"The manager can help me to develop my football and he is someone who I watched when he was at Liverpool".

"He asked me if I wanted to join his team, and I said yes, although I was anxious it wasn't actually Gerrard [on the phone]!"

He follows the signings of centre-backs Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic, right-back Jon Flanagan, wingers Jamie Murphy and Scott Arfield, goalkeeper Allan McGregor and midfielder Ovie Ejaria (loan).
