Maurizio Sarri’s arrival at Chelsea is imminent

Chelsea linked attacker Jose Callejon will consider offers to depart Napoli later in the summer if he receives lucrative proposals on his table. However, the Serie A side refused to release the 59-year-old from his contract and stood firm over negotiations with Chelsea.

Chelsea strike a "gentleman's agreement" with Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri for him to become the new Blues manager, according to reports from Italy.

Sarri has spent much of his managerial career in the lower reaches of Italian football, although he has won many admirers for his progressive possession based football since moving to Napoli in 2015.

Conte, despite winning the Premier League in his first season at Chelsea and the FA Cup in his second, looks to be on the way out after seemingly falling out with the board over transfer policy.

There have been reports that the Blues' chiefs want to compensate Antonio Conte with big money for him to face the exit doors at Stamford Bridge.

Conte's compensation would be expensive and it appeared that had scuppered a deal for Sarri, with Chelsea looking at cheaper alternatives such as Laurent Blanc.

Peculiarly, it has been reported that Sarri will live at Chelsea's Cobham training ground upon completion of his move, as the former Empoli manager seeks to rebuild his squad ahead of the return of players on July 9.
