Israeli Patriot missile intercepts drone from Syria - IDF

Syria's official news agency SANA reported late on Wednesday that Israeli warplanes fired several missiles at Syrian army positions located close to the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights causing only material damage.

Israel has been on high alert as Syrian government forces advance on rebels in the vicinity of the Golan, which Israel took from Syria in the 1967 Middle East war. Russian Federation has been a key ally of Syrian President Bashar Assad in the Syrian civil war and its forces on the ground have managed to turn the tide in Assad's favor in recent years.

However, there have recently been signs of an emerging compromise among key players. Its air force has struck scores of targets it describes as Iranian deployments or arms transfers to Lebanon's Iran-backed Hezbollah.

"They (Russia) have an active interest in seeing a stable Assad regime and we in getting the Iranians out".

Netanyahu's national security adviser, Meir Ben-Shabbat, also participated in the meeting.

TMZ Sports obtained the video, which shows the airport employee verbally accosting and then physically attacking Jones. Jones and his companion declined medical attention while Ragin was taken to the hospital.

Asked who would win the match, Netanyahu told them, "the better team".

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Russian Federation on Wednesday that Israel does not intend to threaten Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's rule and asked Moscow to work to remove Iranian forces from Syria, an Israeli official said.

"And I would like to point out that we will be preventing any attempts to violate our air or land border", Netanyahu said as he met Putin. The 1974 agreement officially ended the 1973 Yom Kippur War between Israel and Syria.

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said in an interview with Italian newspaper Il Giornale published Wednesday that Moscow hopes that Israel and Iran will both display caution and avoid a showdown. "In that context, we rely on peaceful diplomatic means to resolve any differences and expect both sides to show restraint".
