Epic Announces Fortnite Summer Skirmish Series, Plus $8 Million Prize Pool

The company's substantial esports investment starts this weekend, with the eight-week Summer Skirmish series set to award a combined $8 million in prize money. Throw in the removal of the Durr Burger sign from the game as well as Epic flooding the real world with Loot Llamas appearing in Paris, London, and Cologne, hint at some massive shake ups for Season 5 of Fortnite.

In the meantime why not make the most of this extended downtime to take a look at some new Fortnite Season 5 skins and cosmetics which have leaked in the last hour.

These new details were found by TwoEpicBuddies originally who posted the new items on Twitter.

The war between the two tip games in the battle royale genre has been going on for less than a year now, but that does not mean that it has not been a fierce one.

Photos of the loot llamas in London, Barcelona , Cologne, and Warsaw have already been posted on the Fortnite subreddit thread . When the meteor did hit, it caused a large crater in the enter of the map, turning Dusty Depot into the craterous Dusty Divot.

Fortnite Battle Royale Season 5 Battle Pass price is $10 (around Rs. 650) which works out to 950 V-Bucks, Epic's in-game currency for Fortnite. We'll do our best to provide insight on those as soon as possible.

Fans can most likely expect to see more teaser images prior to the official end to season 4 Wednesday, July 11. Fortnite Season 5 start date is July 12 at 8am GMT (1:30pm IST). Season 5 will begin simultaneously across all platforms.

Players who buy the new Season 5 Battle Pass will be able to join in on the weekly challenges, grinding through the tiers to collect new skins and cosmetics.

The image shows three characters in front of a hot pink background, with each skin much different from each other.
