Aon reveal multi year partnership with the PGA TOUR and LPGA

The season features 46 events, starting with the Safeway Open in October and concluding with the Tour Championship, which will end August 25, 2019, allowing the golf season to end before the start of football.

The two tours announced a season-long competition with Aon on Monday.

Other changes see the RBC Canadian Open switch from late July to the week before the US Open, while the final World Golf Championship event of the season will now be WGC-Fed Ex St Jude Invitational and held at TPC Southwind.

At every stop on both tours next season, a high-risk, high-reward hole will be designated - be it a drivable par 4, a par 5 that offers the potential to reach the green or a par 3 with a tricky green complex or water galore. Liberty National in Jersey City will host next year's event while TPC Boston in Norton will serve as host in 2020 and 2022. "The fact that Aon is providing equal prize money for the men (PGA TOUR) and women (LPGA) has made a huge statement to our players, and we couldn't be more appreciative".

Houston and Greenbrier are to return to the fall portion of the schedule in 2019. The Dallas and Fort Worth tournaments are split by the PGA Championship, which will be played at Bethpage Black (May 16-19) as part of its new May date.

More boys carried out in Thailand cave rescue
Narongsak said experts told him the new rain could shrink the unflooded space where the boys are sheltering to 108 square feet. The eighth boy has now emerged from the cave where a soccer team and their coach have been trapped in Thailand .

The FedExCup Playoffs will move from four events to three next year, featuring the Northern Trust, the BMW Championship and the Tour Championship.

The 46 events include four tournaments held opposite World Golf Championships, and one event opposite the British Open.

Two tournaments on the schedule no longer have title sponsors listed with their names - the Mayakoba Classic (previously OHL) in Mexico and Reno-Tahoe in Nevada, which previously had been called the Barracuda Championship.

The event will be part of the FedEx Cup, and is one of several changes to the pro golf schedule in 2019.

Preparations for the final Dell Technologies Championship are underway and the 100-player field will have its unique Monday finish for one last time on September 3. That leaves 11 weeks when the PGA Tour does not have an official event.
