Ronaldo to Juventus: Real Madrid's leading scorer explains need for 'new cycle'

Goal understands that the Portugal global has agreed a deal to move to the Serie A giants, with Ronaldo set to sign a four-year contract worth €30 million (£26.5m/$35m) per season.

After nine glorious years in Spain, speculation is rife that Ronaldo is in the process of completing a shock €100 million transfer to Juventus - not that you'd know it from his latest Instagram update.

The 33-year-old would be a massive signing for Juventus, as Max Allegri looks to claim a Champions League trophy that has so far alluded him in his career.

"For Real Madrid Cristiano Ronaldo will always be one of our great symbols", said a club statement.

Ronaldo won 15 titles with Ramos at Real Madrid.

It's a huge move that modifies the landscape of European soccer, moving Real Madrid from a top-tier Champions League contender to one with huge question marks up top.

Froome was left 55 seconds behind in the overall standings with another week of nervy rolling stages before hitting the Alps. Because he does not realise that it takes mayors taking stages of the Tour de France for such great events to take place.

Like he has in recent years for Real and Portugal, Ronaldo could occupy the No. 9 role for the Italian side, which is where the aforementioned Higuain has played since his arrival at the club in 2016.

However, I feel that the time has come to begin a new stage of my life and that is why I have asked the club to accept my transfer.

"Beyond the conquered titles, the trophies achieved and the triumphs achieved in the playing fields during these nine years, Cristiano Ronaldo has been an example of dedication, work, responsibility, talent and improvement". He also won the Champions League four times, three FIFA Club World Cups and two La Liga titles, as well as the Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup twice apiece.

Ronaldo will presumably feature in a two-man attack next to Argentina star Paulo Dybala, who naturally drops deeper in order to create chances for the Bianconeri, which could benefit the Los Blancos man.

Juventus have yet to announce the transfer, though the five-time Ballon d'Or victor said his farewells to Madrid in a letter published on the LaLiga club's website.

Ronaldo made his debut for Sporting Lisbon when he was 17. "I came here to win titles". Former Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho, now at Manchester United, was also investigated. Ronaldo scored four goals to take his tally to 85 for his country and break Ferenc Puskas' record as Europe's all-time leading global scorer.
