France determined to defeat Henry's Belgium

Many are calling this match the real final of the tournament, and, with nothing less than the world cup on the line, rivals France and Belgium will collide in the most high stakes fixture to be played in Russian Federation.

"But there are players that are quick and know when to run and time their runs so well". There is no player in the French team that comes close to offering what he does to the team.

"It is a fantastic generation and in order to beat them we will have to play a great match". We have a lot of respect for what he's done, but we're not going to think about it very much.

"We want desperately to get to the final and go on and win because if it doesn't happen it will forever be a disappointment. It is an opportunity in our careers and we have to grab it with both hands".

"It has been a few years since he said what he said about me".

Goals have proved elusive for a player whose place in the France line-up has always been a source of national debate in his homeland but two more wins are all that count for 31-year-old.

Belgium have had nine different goalscorers in the 2018 World Cup (excluding own goals); only Italy in 2006 and France in 1982 (10 each) have had more in a single tournament.

"France were one of the favourites before the World Cup and I think the game will be tougher than against Brazil due to their individual quality", he said. Pele scored a hat-trick against France in the semi-final of that tournament, the last teen to score in the last four of the competition.

In 2002, the team lost to Senegal in the opening match.

These two have looked the best two teams in the tournament. "But he is someone I really appreciate, I'm happy for him".

In fact, the argument could be made that he is more important to the team than stars Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann. 'If Mbappe was watching videos of me when he was younger, now it's me watching videos of him. This is his time to shine.
