'Fortnite' Playground LTM Is Going Away Before Coming Back for Good

A message sent from the official Fortnite Twitch channel has confirmed that the popular Playground mode will be a permanent addition to the game, not simply a Limited Time Mode. There's a reason Playground is referred to as a limited time mode, though.

After an unexpected delay, Epic relaunched Fortnite's Playground Mode earlier this week.

The team at Epic has yet to reveal when the mode will return after it goes offline.

Have you been enjoying the Playground mode? The company warns that Playground LTM will be disappearing on July 12 for additional work.

Vermitsky said Bloom resigned from his neighborhood positions to limit negative publicity, and not because he did anything wrong. Vermitsky also said his client feels bad about the situation and didn't intend to discriminate against the woman.

"The Playground LTM represents our first step into what a full creative mode looks like in Fortnite", the developer wrote in its announcement.

Although that doesn't sound hopeful, they continued on to state exactly what kind of upgrades would be made."For the next version of Playground we're hoping to include functionality that would allow team selection options within the Playground itself". Players have mostly been using the time to tinker with the game's building mechanics, and have already created some pretty insane stuff. This is perhaps because of the delay of Playground v1 and the resulting disappointment from fans. We've also seen some pretty sweet creations come out of this "practice" mode, and fans can't seem to get enough.

Until there is a set arrival date, players will continue to express their creativity and push the limits of Fortnite: Battle Royale in the Playground LTM.

Fortnite is out now for iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
