Honor 10 GT with 8GB of RAM launched in China

The Verge reports the Honor 10 GT will have the same specs as the Honor 10 apart from the RAM.

The GT in its name stands for GPU Turbo, which is a new tech that makes more of the existing graphics hardware and claims to increase performance by up to 60 per cent, while decreasing battery power drain by up to 30 per cent. The pricing details of the same have not been revealed yet but the 6GB RAM Honor 10 is priced at CNY 2,599 (i.e. roughly Rs. 26,800) so you can expect the Honor 10 GT to be priced a few hundred CNYs more. Such as the Hi-Silicon Kirin 970 along with Huawei's new GPU turbo technology which boosts GPU performance without throttling your system. One of the main additions to the phone is of the GPU Turbo.

The company also announced that GPU Turbo Technology will be publicly available on Honor 10 by August 2018 in regions such as the Middle East, Asia Pacific, India and Europe; while in China, the technology will be available by July 15.

The 6 GB variant now goes for CNY2,599 (less than $390/€340), so the more powerful one should be slightly higher than that.

The Honor 10 had the option of 4GB or 6GB of RAM. However, the feature is expected to come through a beta update from July 12. The Honor 10 GT also sports Huawei AIS, which starts for AI Image stabilization and it steadies handheld night pictures for long exposure pictures without a having tripod.

The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo coupled with EMUI 8.1 on top. There's 128GB of internal storage with 24-megapixel + 16-megapixel dual camera unit, aligned horizontally at the back.

The Honor 10 GT borrows all the other specs from the regular version of Honor 10. The front camera also comes with face unlock support which can quickly unlock the device.

The Honour 10 GT will be powered by the same Kirin 970 processor but will equip a larger 8GB memory that would offer faster app-switching and multitasking. A fingerprint scanner-enabled capacitive home button has been provided below the screen.
