Shenmue I & II Release Date Set For August

The cult martial arts and forklift meme-generating adventure games will include modern control options, the chance to play the original game with Japanese dialogue, and scalable screen resolution. A physical edition is also available for pre-order, and will feature a double-sided poster and reversible artwork.

Shenmue I & II will come with some new features not found in the original releases, as well as PC exclusive features such as graphics options, updated user interface and more. With the games scheduled to release next month, you can now pre-order the Shenmue I & II bundle from the Xbox Store. According to its official Windows Store page, the first two Shenmue games will release on August 21st.

The games will be available digitally of course, but Sega indicated that it would also be releasing boxed versions as well. The original story can be read down below, along with a new trailer, confirming the release date.

Shenmue I & II will be released for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on August 21, Sega has announced. The first game in the franchise originally appeared on the Sega Dreamcast back in 2000 and has never appeared on any other platform since. Return to the epic saga that defined modern gaming.
