Scarlett Johansson to Star in Pittsburgh Mob, Massage Parlor Biopic

According to The Hollywood Reporter the Avengers actress is reuniting with Ghost in the Shell director, Rupert Sanders for the new film Rub & Tug. This latest controversy concerns Johansson's casting as a trans man despite being a cisgender woman.

Rub & Tug is based on the life of 1970's Pittsburgh crime kingpin Jean Marie Gill, a woman who masqueraded as a man in order to run a massage parlor and prostitution business.

"That execs not only cast Johansson in this role, but also did not research the character sufficiently enough to realize he vocally preferred male pronouns (and according to his obituary, "may have" even taken steps toward physically transitioning) is the entire problem".

Natasha Romanov looks like a pussycat compared to this latest role and the fact that it is based on an actual real person just makes the whole insane story even more outrageous. So why would she take work away from a trans actor?

Many feel this role should be played by a trans actor, particularly #OscarsSoWhite creator April Reign, who argued on Twitter that Johansson is "not hurting for money", is already a "well-established actress", and "doesn't need the increased profile".

Trump administration seeks to drop Iran's oil revenue to nothing
Oil prices climbed down from their 3 ½ year high to reach US$73 per barrel, with Brent trading at US$76.96 Tuesday afternoon. The vice president also noted that the "vulnerable" social layers should be helped after re-imposition of sanctions.

Jamie isn't the only one voicing her feelings regarding this controversial casting on social media.

"I'm disappointed at her lack of awareness".

That statement - which references prominent actors who have played transgender roles - appears to have further fueled the backlash against her casting in Rub & Tug.

"Tell them that they can be directed to Jeffrey Tambor, Jared Leto, and Felicity Huffman's reps for comment".

People are not being shy about calling out Johansson for playing a trans man since this can be considered her second offense when it comes to appropriating - in this case its not cultural, it's gender identity.
