French Autopsy Finds No Narcotics In Anthony Bourdain’s System

Fellow celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay tweeted: "Stunned and saddened by the loss of Anthony Bourdain".

The news was confirmed in a text to The New York Times from Christian de Rocquigny, the local prosecutor in charge of the investigation.

There has been an outpouring of emotion following the sad news of his death, and former U.S. president Barack Obama was one of those to pay tribute.

Bourdain has since been cremated in France but his family plans to have a "small, private ceremony" in the United States for the world traveler.

He had huge success with his books including Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly, A Cook's Tour and The Nasty Bits; while his food articles have been featured in many places including the New York Times, The New Yorker, Esquire and Maxim.

The 42-year-old, who paid tribute to Bourdain as "my love, my rock, my protector" following his death, began dating the 61-year-old in early 2017, after meeting on the set of his hit CNN travel and food series, Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown. His other television shows include A Cook's Tour and Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations.
