Rising Pittsburgh rapper Jimmy Wopo was killed in an apparent drive-by shooting on Monday (June 18).

The rapper, whose real name was Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, was later pronounced dead, the sheriff's department said. He was only 21.

Police say the 21-year-old rapper was killed and another man injured when someone opened fire on their auto in the city's Hill District on Monday afternoon. Two bullet holes were seen in the driver's side window before it was towed away.

Another person was injured and taken to the hospital in stable condition, though their identity hasn't been released.

Greece, Macedonia Sign Historic Deal To End Name Dispute
Thousands of Greeks protested outside parliament against the accord with Macedonia, calling for Tsipras to resign. The expulsion brings Tsipras's majority in parliament to 153 MPs out of a total in the chamber of 300.

Wopo's manager, Taylor Maglin, confirmed the death of his client on Facebook. "He was destined for greatness and he wanted the best for his friends, family and community". "An investigation is underway", Alicia George, Pittsburgh police spokesperson said.

Things started to click after the release of his 2016 video for "Elm Street", a sparse, bass clef banger, on which Wopo interpolates Freddy Kruger's theme song over a bouncy instrumental.

Sadly, Jimmy Wopo was the second rapper to die within 24 hours.

Moments after XXXTentacion was shot and killed in Miami, news broke that rapper Jimmy Wopo was killed in a separate shooting incident. The up-and-coming hip-hop musician, whose real name was Travon Smart, previously revealed that he had been shot twice in the past.
