AJ Styles Starting New Feud on SmackDown After Money in the Bank

AJ Styles Starting New Feud on SmackDown After Money in the Bank

The AJ Styles reveal happened on a livestream press conference for WWE 2K19.

Although the talent roster has not yet been released for WWE 2K19, the game will allow for some dream matchups between wrestlers from past and present generations.

That's right, the champ that runs the camp, the face that runs the place, that man that built the house of Smackdown Live is now the latest cover star in the annual WWE 2K series.

Eligible entrants will have to beat a to-be-announced new mode in the game, as well as submit a promotional video that details why they will beat Styles, then advance to the semi-finals of this competition and, finally, defeat three other semi-finalists.

Styles was officially announced as WWE's new cover boy for their game with 2K Sports on Monday morning and noted that, as UpUpDownDown viewers and general followers of Styles know, he's an avid gamer, so this is quite the honor for him. He lost in pretty clear fashion as well leaving little reason to continue on between Nakamura and AJ Styles.

More Details On Big Cass' WWE Release
In 2017, Big Cass turned on Enzo but he injured his knee on an episode of Monday Night RAW before the conclusion of that feud. When he was shot down by the producers backstage, he took the issue to Vince McMahon who also told him no.

WWE 2K19 may be developed by Yuke's, but it is also the game that AJ Styles built.

After the match AJ Styles came down to the ring and placed the belt on the mat, then he he extended his hand to Rusev, and Rusev showed respect to AJ by shaking his hand. There have been some rumors about AJ Styles continuing the feud with Nakamura, but it seems that WWE officials have planning something else for him going forward. More details on the challenge will be announced later but rules are at WWE.2K.com. The prize? One million dollars.

We also got some info about WWE 2K19's Deluxe and Collector's Editions. Here's where you can pre-order the standard edition now.

WWE 2K19 Collector's Edition: contains the same features as the Deluxe Edition plus exclusive and rare collectibles, as well as limited-edition WWE SuperCard content.

WWE 2K19 is not yet rated by the ESRB and is scheduled for worldwide release on October 9, 2018.
