Jose Mourinho is not happy about Liverpool's post-Champions League advantage

Liverpool begin their season at home to West Ham United, with Manuel Pellegrini taking charge of the Hammers for the first time. Pep's team will finish the festive period with a home game on 1 January against Liverpool.

During their impressive march to the UEFA Champions League final in 2017-18, it went slightly unnoticed that Liverpool only narrowly finished in the top four in the Premier League.

Although all fixtures dates are subject to change due to the requirements of broadcasters, the release of the Premier League schedule for the 2018-19 campaign enables managers, players and supporters to plot their club's route to success, whether it be a title push or battle for survival. And they will make a quick return to Wembley, after winning the playoff final against Aston Villa last month, with their first away game being at Spurs on the second weekend.

The first Manchester derby, which will pit last season's top two against each other, is due to take place on November 10 when Jose Mourinho's United make the short jounrey across town.

New Arsenal head coach Unai Emery has responded to the baptism of fire in the Premier League.

White House press briefing to address watchdog report on Comey
Only the attorney general has the authority to decline or move forward with the prosecution of alleged criminality. But Horowitz emphasized that Comey was more knuckleheaded than malicious.

BT Sport will be showing 42 exclusively live Premier League fixtures in the 2018/19 season for the last time before that figure then rises to 52 for the 2019/20 campaign.

However, the subsequent three will see United travel to the Etihad to take on champions Man City, St Mary's to take on Southampton and Anfield to face Liverpool.

Newcastle face Tottenham (3rd), Cardiff (19th), Chelsea (5th), Man City (1st), Arsenal (6th) and Crystal Palace (11th).

Four rounds of Premier League fixtures have been scheduled before the first worldwide break, which will take place on the weekend of 8-9 September.
