RE: Polestar Engineered performance packages launched - Page 1 - General Gassing

Volvo Cars and Polestar have introduced a new electrified performance upgrade programme called Polestar Engineered, which will first be offered for T8 Twin Engine versions of the Volvo S60.

The S60 T8 Polestar Engineered will also feature a multi-link front and rear suspension, and takes its strut-bar and shock-absorber design directly from the Polestar 1 flagship.

However, judging by the recent release of the S60 T8 Polestar Engineered, it might be more accurate to say that "electrification" is the future of Volvo. In addition, Brembo brake calipers are now fitted, the pads are upgraded and the wheels are lighter.

Volvo will reveal the new S60 next week at its first USA manufacturing plant in Charleston, South Carolina.

You'll be able to spot a Polestar Engineered auto, thanks to its gold-painted brake calipers set behind unique, lightweight wheels.

Sarah Sanders responds to report that she is leaving White House
Sanders has reportedly told friends that she plans to leave the administration by the end of the year. Sanders has been the White House press secretary for less than a year.

Volvo " s performance offshoot, Polestar, has announced a series of upgrades it will be offering on top-spec T8 versions of its upcoming S60 saloon.

Polestar Engineered will also be offered on the new V60 estate and XC60 SUV from next year, available globally in limited numbers via Volvo dealerships and Care by Volvo, the company's premium vehicle subscription service. Gold will replace light blue as Polestar's new hallmark color, the company notes. The ECU also recalibrates the eight-speed automatic transmission.

"The new S60 T8 Polestar Engineered is an electrified vehicle that does what you want it to", said Henrik Green, senior vice president of research and development at Volvo Cars. The calipers are painted in Polestar yellow, and the emblems, black chrome exhaust pipes and golden seat belts will let others know your Volvo is special, much as the M-badge and AMG symbols do for BMW and Mercedes.

Henrik Green, senior vice-president of research and development at Volvo, said that the parts have been "fine-tuned to work together, delivering a responsive and exciting driver's car".
