Wolves complete loan signing of Raul Jimenez from Benfica

Wolves have signed Benfica and Mexico striker Raul Jimenez on loan for the 2018/19 season, subject to worldwide clearance and a work permit.

A native of Tepeji, Mexico, Jimenez will wear El Tri's No.9 jersey at the World Cup.

It's one in, one out at Molineux with fellow striker Benik Afobe poised to join Championship side Stoke City for £12m just 11 days after signing for Wolves in a £10m deal.

Jimenez averaged a goal or assist every 75 minutes in last season's title winning campaign.

The World Bank says Jordan has "weak growth prospects" this year, while 18.5 percent of the working age population is unemployed. An unpopular income tax law was also incensing the public until the government withdrew it in the face of the protests.

Jimenez previously played for boyhood side Club America before moving to Atletico Madrid for the 2014-15 season.

Jimenez has scored 14 goals in 62 appearances for Mexico and will be hoping to add to his tally in Russian Federation this summer.

He came through the youth ranks there and led the club to the 2013 Clausura title as the top scorer, this coming off the back of helping Mexico win their first soccer gold medal at the 2012 Olympics.
