Mix of Western, Asian dishes served at Trump-Kim summit during lunch

President Donald Trump met with the Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un in what has already become a propaganda sizzle reel for the authoritarian Kim regime. "To show vision and leadership - or not?"

Prior to his departure for Singapore on Saturday, Trump spoke about North Korea's potential to be a "great" country. "We didn't have a big screen like you [the media] have the luxury of having, we didn't need it because we had it on a cassette and an iPad".

But the apparent showing off was brought to an abrupt halt moments later when the same aide quickly shut the door of the Beast and ushered Trump as well as Kim away from the presidential auto.

According to the menu, which was provided by the White House, Trump and Kim Jong-un feasted on prawns, fresh octopus and Korean stuffed cucumber to start, and were fed beef short ribs, sweet and sour pork with fried rice and soy-braised cod fish for the main course. In fact, only hours before the White House announcement, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo had seemed to lower expectations for the meeting, which Trump had earlier predicted could potentially yield an on-the-spot deal to end the Korean War.

The results could also deliver a further blow to Prime Minister Theresa May's authority, which was severely damaged when she. Ukip leader Gerard Batten said: "The only "meaningful vote" was the verdict of the people in referendum of 23rd June 2016".

The president had also commented that he would know within minutes of meeting Kim whether or not North Korea was serious about scrapping nuclear weapons.

"The old prejudices and practices worked as obstacles on our way forward, but we've overcome all of them, and we are here today", he said, after which the pair shook hands and Trump gave his famous thumbs-up to the cameras.
