John Schneider Sentenced to Jail Over Delinquent Spousal Support

Dukes of Hazzard star John Schneider is headed to jail and for real this time. The payments were due in mid-March.

Schneider was previously given a March deadline by the court to pay more than $150,000 in delinquent spousal support.

He was incarcerated for failure to pay more than $150,000 in support payments to his wife Elvira, who asked the judge overseeing their bitter stand-off to consider putting Schneider behind bars back in February. The judge also reportedly ordered Schneider to transfer his property to Castle and resolve the tax lien issues on the property. He will also be required to serve 240 hours of community service.

In September 2016, John was ordered to pay $18,911 to his former missus.

Schneider married Castle in 1993, and have been separated since she filed for divorce in 2014.

As a candidate for governor in 2017, Stewart spoke out against removing Confederate monuments, including the Robert E. Now that he's lost, his words also serve as a call for his fellow anti-Trump GOPers to keep fighting the good fight.

The actor and singer was booked in to a jail in downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday morning.

Moments before he handed himself in, Schneider told Fox News that he was "disheartened with the system" but would hold his head high during his jail time.

Schneider played Bo Duke on the hit series from 1979 - 1985 as well as a handful of revivials in the early 2000s.

In addition to the canceled tour and his ruined movie studio, Schneider also partially blames Elvira for his financial struggles, saying she withdrew $200,000 from their joint account following their divorce filing.
