John Cena Replaces Sylvester Stallone In Project X

John Cena Replaces Sylvester Stallone In Project X

According to Deadline, John Cena has joined the cast of Jackie Chan's Project X film. From the description above it sounds like it has borrowed elements from films like Wolf Warrior 2 - rescuing Chinese workers in a foreign country - and Die Hard - grand theft under the guise of an attack.

In case you've been living under a rock, Cena is quickly becoming a hot commodity in entertainment. A plot is uncovered to steal the oil and then he partners up with a US Marine who lives in Iraq teaching orphans.

Chan will also produce "Project X" along with Joe Tam, Esmond Ren, and Hans Canosa.

Government forces launched another airstrike in Syria, injured children
OCHA said military escalation could make Idlib's situation "much more complicated and brutal" than other conflict zones in Syria. Nevertheless, the Assad regime and Russian forces have continued to carry out attacks on the region.

Arash Amel (Erased and The Titan) wrote the screenplay.

The duo are set to star in an action thriller from Need for Speed director Scott Waugh, with Cena replacing Sylvester Stallone, who was previously attached to star alongside Chan. This is just one of a few non-comedic roles Cena is trying on for size, including a co-starring part in the upcoming Transformers spin-off, Bumblebee, and the Robert Ludlum Extended Universe entry, The Janson Directive.
