Indian PM Modi shares fitness video on social media

Well, the man himself, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today tweeted a video of his exercise routine, which looks impressively rigorous, innovative and mindful.

The Prime Minister nominated Karnataka Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, Table Tennis player Manika Batra and the entire fraternity of the Indian Police Service Officers (IPS) to take on the challenge and post their fitness videos.

"The entire fraternity of courageous IPS officers, especially those above 40", he wrote in the micro blogging site.

In his tweet, Prime Minister wrote: "Here are moments from my morning exercises". Yoga-treadmill r part of my daily workout regime. He thanked the Prime Minister for his invitation but said that he was more concerned about the "fitness" of his state. This is extremely refreshing and rejuvenating. The prime is seen walking, stretching and doing breathing exercise on a Panchtatvas track in his garden.

In response to the challenge, Kumaraswamy sought PM Modi's support, saying he was more concerned about the "fitness" of Karnataka.

While inviting Indians to post pictures and videos of their fitness attempts, Rathore also appealed to Kohli, ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal and Bollywood Hrithik Roshan to join in the effort and be aspiring role models for others.

Under the fitness campaign #HumFitTohIndiaFit started by Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, as well as Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Mr. Modi was challenged by Indian Cricket Captain Virat Kohli on May 23.

PM Modi responded to Virat Kohli's challenge and tweeted using the hashtag #HumFitTohIndiaFit.
