‘Toilet Hero’ gets over Rs 15 crore opening in China

With the Hollywood film "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" leading with a collection of $151.1 million, Akshay's film features as the seventh highest-grossing film over the weekend. The film managed itself one of the biggest releases for an Indian film, on the similar levels as Aamir Khan's Secret Superstar, as far as screens were concerned. The streak was followed by a huge United States dollars 3.55 milllion on Saturday.

Mumbai: Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is overwhelmed with the love the audience in China has given to his film "Toilet Hero" - originally titled "Toilet: Ek Prem Katha" - which has made over Rs 15 crore at the Chinese box office on its opening day. And the film has got an opening of $2.36 million (Rs 15.94 crore). "Toilet Ek Prem Katha", a satirical comedy in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's campaign to improve sanitation conditions in India, had hit the domestic box office in August 2017.
