The New Marvel’s Luke Cage Season 2 Trailer is Here!

The New Marvel’s Luke Cage Season 2 Trailer is Here!

Marvel's Luke Cage goes toe-to-toe with both the "queen" of Harlem and a "king of pain" in the final trailer for Season 2 of the Netflix series.

Indeed, Jessica Jones Season 2 essentially pretended like The Defenders never happened, so I'll be curious to see how/if Luke Cage deals with the fallout. As she enlists her daughter in the family business, Mariah must battle a formidable foe in John "Bushmaster" McIver (Mustafa Shakir), who vows to take what's hers. Meanwhile, Luke Cage wrestles with the idea of intervening and protecting Mariah for the good of Harlem. Although Mariah just barely managed to survive that season's narrative, now she's back and more defiant than ever.

After clearing his name, Luke Cage has become a celebrity on the streets of Harlem with a reputation as bulletproof as his skin.

Cheo Hodari Coker returns as executive producer and showrunner of the series, and Lucy Liu directed the first episode of Season 2. But being so visible has only increased his need to protect the community and find the limits of who he can and can't save. Mariah and Shades (Theo Rossi) aren't exactly allies to Luke Cage, and if this promo is any indication, they're not joining forces without a little fight.
