Liverpool target's future to be sorted before the World Cup

Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo claimed that Liverpool were willing to offer €65m for Alisson this summer, and manager Jürgen Klopp even promised the Brazil global the No. 1 spot at Anfield next season.

Il Tempo says Ze Maria Neis is in negotiations with Liverpool, Real Madrid and Chelsea about moving the Brazil global out of Roma.

It is understood Liverpool are unwilling to meet Roma's £80m valuation of the player - potentially a world-record price for a goalkeeper. The reigning European champions still hold an interest in Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who is entering the final year of his deal.

In-demand Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson hopes his club future will be sorted out before the World Cup starts later this week.

Speaking after Brazil 3-0 victory over Austria on Sunday evening, Alisson wants to make a decision before the weekend otherwise it will have to wait until after the World Cup.

'The truth is that I left everything in the hands of my agent.

While G-7 members have been sharing concerns over North Korea, disputes with the United States over trade have been escalating. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has vowed retaliatory action next month over USA tariffs on steel and aluminum.

"There are options that we are working on, together with Roma and with respect for my club", he told Globoesporte. We will see what will happen this week'.

Despite the transfer speculation, Alisson could yet sign a contract extension with Roma.

"Alisson can be amongst the best in the world, alongside Courtois, De Gea and [Manuel] Neuer".

Alisson impressed for Roma last season, keeping 22 clean sheets in all competitions.

"If it's not before the first game, it will be after the World Cup, that's my thinking 100 percent", Alisson continued.
