Gerard Deulofeu: Watford set to confirm signing of Barcelona winger

Barcelona on Monday said they have sold Spanish striker Gerard Deulofeu to English Premier League side Watford, where he had been on loan since January, for 13 million euros (dollars).

The 24-year-old scored one goal and registered a single assist in seven games whilst on loan at the Hornets for the second-half of the season as his nomadic career continued.

Barcelona confirmed the fee at around £11.5m (€13m), with a further £3.5m (€4) in add-ons.

The Catalan giants will also receive a percentage of any future transfer moves involving Deulofeu.

In his blog post, Martin also confirmed that one of the concepts had been "shelved... but that does not mean the others are dead". Both Martin and Goldman, along with two others, will be executive producers of the upcoming pilot.

'We are very pleased to welcome Gerard back to Vicarage Road and thank FC Barcelona for their part in concluding this deal, ' Duxbury told the club's website.

Deulofeu, who has four caps for Spain, progressed through Barcelona's youth system and made his senior debut in 2011 but failed to establish himself at the La Liga outfit.

The Spain worldwide rejoined Barca from Everton last June, after he impressed during a loan spell with AC Milan.

Following loan spells with Everton and Sevilla, he made a permanent move to Goodison Park in 2014.
