‘Game of Thrones’ prequel: HBO confirms pilot in the works

HBO said it had given a pilot order to a prequel that will take place thousands of years before the events of Game of Thrones, the biggest worldwide hit for the Time Warner channel.

The first of four or five (!) GoT spin-off shows centered around George R.R. Martin's fantasy world of dragons and White Walkers has been ordered to pilot, according to BBC, and we finally have more details about what this prequel will include.

"The series chronicles the world's descent from the Golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour".

Pistons name Dwane Casey as new head coach
Having spent many hours with Dwane over the last few weeks, I'm confident he is the right person to get us to the next level. Casey was sacked in May, shortly after being dubbed Coach of the Year by the National Basketball Coach's Association.

LOS ANGELES- The mythical saga "Game of Thrones" eighth season will be running on channels in the year 2019. "More likely HBO will want to work the phrase "game of thrones" in there somewhere". A number of writers have been at work on different concepts, and now one spearheaded by Kingsman co-writer Jane Goldman will go at least to pilot stage. "We're very early in the process, of course, with the pilot order just in, so we don't have a director yet, or a cast, or a location, or even a title".

In Martin's writings, The Long Night was a winter night that lasted for an entire generation, freezing and starving thousands of people.

In his blog post, Martin also confirmed that one of the concepts had been "shelved... but that does not mean the others are dead". Both Martin and Goldman, along with two others, will be executive producers of the upcoming pilot. Three more Game of Thrones prequels, set in different periods and featuring different characters and storylines, remain in active development. She and Martin will executive produce along with Daniel Zelman and Game of Thrones executive producer Vince Gerardis. "But this is television, so nothing is certain".
