Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 Debuts Aero Tweaks From The Upcoming GT500

The 526bhp flat-plane crank V8 remains, as does the six-speed manual transmission.

The model continues to have a standard MagneRide suspension setup, but it has been re-tuned using data from Ford Performance track tests.

While numerous upgrades are focused on performance, Ford didn't overlook creature comforts. Ford says the grille was designed using information learned from the wind tunnel with the Ford Performance Mustang, road racing cars and the GT500. "It inspires confidence in corners and makes you feel like a superhero". New Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires with a Shelby-specific tread pattern - 295/35 front and 305/35 rear - wrap around new 19-inch aluminum wheels. Six-piston front and four-piston rear Brembo brakes carry over, but the calibration has been revised, as has the calibration for both the three-mode stability control and the electric power steering system-all in an effort to improve driver feedback. Inside, drivers will find new power-adjustable front seats and revised door panels with dark slate Miko suede upholstery.

The first minister's speech, which is scheduled to start at about 15:30, will bring the two-day conference in Aberdeen to a close. On June 23, the United Kingdom voted in a referendum to leave the European Union.

Rumors of the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350's demise have been greatly exaggerated.

Inside, Ford has channeled early Shelby trim styling with an engine-turned aluminium instrument panel appliqué (also available in carbon fibre for an edgier new-millenium look) and Recaro racing seats with firm side bolsters and built-in slots for a racing harness. The previously optional 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system is now standard, as are dual-zone automatic climate control and a universal garage door opener. "We've stuck to Carroll Shelby's original formula for winning championships and made our Shelby GT350 even better with the latest in race-proven aerodynamics, tire and chassis technology". The performance vehicle will come available in Velocity Blue, Ford Performance Blue, and can come with factory-painted racing stripes in several different colors.

Oddly, the revised Shelby GT350 will not share the reworked headlights, taillights, or digital gauge cluster that the lesser 2019 Mustangs received.
