E3 2018: Are the Avengers in Spider-Man for PS4?

We got some new gameplay at Sony's E3 2018 conference, and Spidey has never looked better. Swing freely through Marvel's New York City in epic action set-pieces filled with a rich narrative and relatable characters.

Based on the footage that was shown, we feel that the game's combat is going to be paced similar to what we've seen in games like God of War, but the boss battle nearly resembled more of a fighting game. It turns out that the sparky villain let out all of the facility's prisoners, which was the ideal setup for Spider-Man to show off his slick fighting abilities. If a building isn't nearby to latch Spidey's web to then he will fall to the ground and lose all momentum.

Spider-Man is having quite a busy year. There is a lot of freedom in the traversal and the mechanics felt refined and well tuned. We're expecting good things from it.

Twitter CEO shamed for eating Chick-fil-A during Pride Month
He was quickly reminded of the questionable nature of promoting Chick-fil-A during Pride Month. In response to O'Brien's tweet, Dorsey essentially apologized without actually apologizing.

After the initial traversal intro, the demo gave a brief overview of the combat.

It's always seemed like the game was meant to be Marvel's answer to the Arkham Batman games, and this trailer suggests it will easily live up those lofty aims. Spider-Man uses his web to take shields away from some enemies, which he slams into one to knock him out.

While a Sinister Six movie may or may not be happening (most likely not), at least they'll have the Spider-Man video game. It was impressive and the flawless demo for a game that is surely at the top of many people's wish lists. The trailer featured a slew of new enemies including Vulture, Electro, Rhino, and more.
